Do Not Worry

Hello everyone! It is amazing how God reminds us of His Holy Word just when we need it. I recently traveled to Ontario, Canada to celebrate my birthday. It is a trip that I will always remember with beautiful sceneries. Well before I left home, I made sure everything was in order. Household duties still have to carry on even though we’re on vacation having fun. 😉

Needless to say, I received a call from home for information that was needed just as I was about to board a tour boat to see the Niagara Falls up-close. I immediately tried to forward it via email while boarding the boat, but I had no service. I tried several times to send the email to no avail. All around me everyone was excited to see the Falls and here I was focusing on getting a signal.

Then I became frustrated. I had spoken to my family several times about this matter prior to my departure, so I felt the timing was interesting, taking my mind away from the wonderful experience that was awaiting me. Suddenly (do you recall God’s suddenlies in your life? The Holy Bible speaks of His suddenlies all throughout the Word), God gave me peace and brought my attention to the birds flying over the water. There were so many birds flying about landing on the water and the biggest rainbow…

This verse came to me. Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? If you’re not familiar with this verse, please read the chapter. It is titled: Do Not Worry. Amazing timing from God.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ reminds us in John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

I’m thankful for the power of the Holy Spirit reminding me in that moment not to worry.  So I didn’t and was able to enjoy the tour. Do I need to tell you the email made its way out of my Outbox before I even exited the boat without any additional effort on my end (walking around looking for service). God reminded me not to worry, so I trusted Him.

Today, I want to remind you to do the same thing. Sometimes we need these little reminders and encouraging words in our daily walk to keep our focus on the One who is in control.

Lastly, I have something  special to share with you. When I took the two pictures in this post, birds were everywhere and I thought it would add so much more meaning to my testimony. If you notice, you don’t see any birds in the two pictures. I couldn’t understand it. I added the pictures anyway. It wasn’t until I published this post that I looked back at the title and saw birds flying over the hills. The picture in the title is the exact same picture below it. Scroll back up and look at the title of post and the picture below it. AMAZING.

God is always working. Put you trust in Him.

  1. Amen. Sometimes we feel as though we have to have our hands in everything. As if having our minds in everything isn’t enough? Part of our Faith is to walk in trust, giving it to God to handle the situation With His Hands in it. So something as simple as Letting Go & Letting God becomes a challenge, if we don’t Walk By Faith & Not By Sight. Walking is in our actions & Sight is in our mind. If we are diligent enough to do those things in trust, God Will direct our paths to His plans & purpose for our lives. He cares about each & every detail.
