When I thought of what to write about today, there was not one title that stood out, but many… As the end of 2019 draw near and welcome in a new year not already seen, there are things we can leave behind.  In my past, I was the queen of holding my feelings in because I didn’t want to offend the other person, or didn’t know if it would make matters worse. Sometimes holding in those feelings did more harm than good because it caused a buildup. When I shared those feelings, sometimes they were received (as evident because the people are still in my life), but sometimes they weren’t, ergo the relationships ended.

As I have matured, I no longer hold on with a vice grip when a relationship has run its course. Why? I have come to accept seasons. What I have constant in my life is my relationship with God — this relationship will never end.  God’s Word reminds us in Psalm 27:10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.

Hebrews 13:5…Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. These are promises that God is not going anywhere. His love is everlasting. Praise God!

Today, if something is bothering you in relation to someone else, then take it to God in prayer and let Him lead you in how to handle it. He may tell you to love the person through the challenges, or he may lead you to talk to that person, but if that’s the case then let them know and then let it goDon’t harbor on the old feelings. It can become toxic and will not help you in moving forward.

All that I am sharing with you today brothers and sisters is not a magic wand. I am not your judge. It takes time to heal and to change old habits. Thankfully, we do not have to do it alone. In everything, take it to God in prayer (Philippians 4:6).

How many of you struggle with believing God’s Word? Have you thought or heard someone say that things were going just “too good” in their life and that something bad was going to happen? I’ve heard someone say this before and it broke my heart. I didn’t come down on the person (not my place), because I know others have thought the same thing. I too can recall one time thinking things were going too perfectly that I felt skeptical. This was when I was a baby in Christ. As we mature in our walk, we come to understand His Word and His Word is true.

Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

Genesis 8:22 As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat,
summer and winter, day and night will never cease.

Ecclesiastes 3:3…A time to plant and a time to harvest.

BELIEVE GOD’S WORD. God’s Word will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11).

I was there when the person was believing God to do the unthinkable for their family, so I had to remind the individual that she was reaping the seeds of prayer that had already been sowed. Continue to be thankful and not allow the enemy to get in your head thinking that something bad has to happen because things are going well.

Remember this:

James 1:17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Enjoy the last weekend of this year! Thank you all for supporting this blog. Continue to share the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ to those around you.
